Antenex® is Providing the Pennsylvania State Police with Dual-Band, 800 MHz Mobile Antenna Technology...

click to enlarge Schaumburg, IL, March 29, 2004 -- Dual-band, 800MHz/GPS radio antennas made by Antenex, Inc., a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of wireless communications antennas and accessories, are being installed in police cars for the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). The new statewide radio system, which is replacing an out-dated VHF system, will provide a host of new features for Pennsylvania state troopers, including combined voice and data capabilities. The system also features GPS, which the PSP’s Central Dispatch Center will use to track travel direction and vehicle location.

In the post-9/11 world, Antenex antennas are being increasingly deployed in public-safety settings. Because the PSP wanted 800MHz and GPS, it makes sense to use an antenna that combines the two technologies. “Installation is easier,” explained Alan Graham of the PSP’s Technical Division, “and the vehicles’ exteriors look less cluttered. The people at Antenex took the time to discuss our needs and helped us to choose the right product at a very cost-effective price.” Graham says that the Antenex product is an excellent value which equals or surpasses the quality of similar, more expensive alternatives that the PSP researched.
